Early Spring: Gallbladder

Before I jump into the Gallbladder I want to address how important it is to have a COLON that is functioning and healthy. As we support these different organs and begin to cleanse them, they will be releasing toxins into the system…you do NOT want them to be STUCK in your body. So get the plumbing working well before you start on anything else. Ok. If you caught my post for supporting the bladder and kidneys (best organs to support in the winter) then yay! Since Spring has sprung it is time to turn your attention to the gallbladder. First let’s discuss function. The gallbladder receives bile from the liver which it stores until it is needed for the digestive process. Bile penetrates fats and neutralizes acids in partly digested foods. It also helps with the removal of cholesterol in the body. This organ is literally located within the liver and works very closely with the liver. When the gallbladder is working well with the liver you are happy and healthy….when it is not, well, you will notice…possibly with hiccups, belching, regurgitation, and even pain and vomiting. This organ also works closely with the lymphatic system to clear out toxic by-products of the metabolism from the muscular system. In other words, the gallbladder essentially eliminates muscular fatigue and aches. It also directly affects both the quality and length of sleep. Who knew, right?

There are three things that affect the condition of the gallbladder: diet, stress, and emotions. Traditional Chinese Medicine links a core emotion to each core organ. The emotion that governs the gallbladder and liver is anger. Anger can materialize in three ways: 1. Repressing or stuffing your anger (and emotions). 2. Being overly stressed (whether by trauma, illness, or people/relationships). 3 Eating too much fat, greasy, rich, or spicy food which results in a gallbladder liver imbalance and can manifest as anger.

Internally: Dilute 1 drop with 4 drops of carrier oil. Put in a capsule and take 1 before each meal or as desired.

Other recommendations to naturally support the Gallbladder:

*Express emotions freely

*Eat fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season

*Drink lots of water

*Do side stretches and yoga

*DRINK LOTS OF WATER

*Drink a cup of lemon water every morning

*Use coconut oil

*Eat sulfur-rich foods Like garlic, onions, kale, broccoli, and cauliflower

*Wear green or yellow

*Try to support the gallbladder between 11PM – 1AM or its sister time 11AM – 1PM  This would be an excellent time to apply GLF topically or take a capsule.

*Avoid: deep fried foods, alcohol, spicy foods, lamb, beef, and curry

EDITED TO ADD SOME INFO FOR MY FRIENDS WITHOUT A GALLBLADDER

Removing the gallbladder is one of the most commonly performed surgeries in the US and Australia. Do not be discouraged. Instead, choose to be informed and empowered. Understand that you will need to step up supporting the liver and the intestines in the digestion of your food (also understand that if you had gallbladder concerns it could have been due to the fact that your liver may not have been as strong as it could have been). You will need to be VERY diligent about limiting fatty, acidic, and high cholesterol foods since you no longer have a storehouse for the bile that would be released to break those things down (the bile is now trickling into the intestines whenever it is produced). SUPPORT THE LIVER…Get ALL THE JUVA PRODUCTS (the supplements in particular…Power & Tone). LOL. Essentialzymes and Essentialezymes 4 would be a great idea as well. Honestly, any supplement that will aid your body in the breakdown, digestion, or absorption of your food would be an excellent idea (ICP, ComfortTone, Life 9, etc). Support, support, support. Be proactive, help the body do what it is designed to do.
